She is the linebred Summit creation of Donnie Begalka, SD, and we could write a book about what she and her descendants have done for the Hereford steer business. Most recently, the 145E produced a pair of heifer calves that had them all buzzing at the 2008 Sullivan Ranch Spring Cow Herd Dispersal before they sold for a $7,250 average and one of them, DSUL Daphne, went on to win several shows for the Stream family, IA. Also, a full brother to Stream’s heifer won the 2008 Iowa Beef Expo and Iowa State Fair along with claiming Reserve Grand Champion Steer honors at the 2008 National Junior Hereford Show for Montana Deppe, IA.
