What makes a female truly rare? Consistent greatness and occasional amazement, for starters. That’s what you can expect from the great Miss Chill 602G, the amazingly consistent source of trendsetting quality at Sullivan Ranch that now claims more than $370,000 in progeny sales. For nearly a decade, the 602G progeny have won on every level and influenced thousands of breeding decisions nationwide; they command a strong premium whenever they come to town. The ability of this family to breed on, down through the generations, is perhaps more amazing than the titles themselves and separates 602G from other top producers in the industry. No family of cattle creates more excitement, more purple, and more green than the great 602 line!

Donor 145
Lot 20 – Confirmed, Sexed Pregnancy by K&B Summit 8103 or Channing

Est. Calving Date: March 2010 Buyer will pay 25%of hammer price sale day and may choose a bull or heifer pregnancy Available for pickup at Trans-Ova, IA summer 2009 A one of a kind - and perhaps a one time only - offering from the great Miss Summitt 145E donor at Sullivan Ranch, this sexed pregnancy opportunity is one of the very few chances you’ll get to directly access the foundation of this great family of Hereford show cattle . 145E is, of course, the dam of Grand Slam, Bases Loaded, Hard Drive and the powerful Sullivan Ranch donors, Sandy 116L and DSUL Baily, among others. She is the linebred Summit creation of Donnie Begalka, SD, and we could write a book about what she and her descendants have done for the Hereford steer business. Most recently, the 145E produced a pair of heifer calves that had them all buzzing at the 2008 Sullivan Ranch Spring Cow Herd Dispersal before they sold for a $7,250 average and one of them, DSUL Daphne, went on to win several shows for the Stream family, IA. Also, a full brother to Stream’s heifer won the 2008 Iowa Beef Expo and Iowa State Fair along with claiming Reserve Grand Champion Steer honors at the 2008 National Junior Hereford Show for Montana Deppe, IA. The 145E donor does not flush well and her progeny have been hard to come by for several years so be sure to take advantage of this first-ever sexed pregnancy to be sold from her. Her calves have all been worth the wait once they arrived and her kind of Herefords have never been more valuable.

DSUL Katie 409K
Lot 37 – Three embryos by Heat Wave
Cookie Monster x DSUL Heartthrob

Katie 491K is on a roll! She is the hottest donor in the Sullivan Ranch lineup with three recent, big wins to her credit and, from a large selection of calves by Heat Wave, she has never let us down. A former Houston Grand Champion herself, Katie 491K is bred-up from champion stock and her babies might as well come with banners. Her 2008 collection of champions includes James Sullivan’s Fourth Overall Steer of the Iowa State Fair and Charlie Wilson’s Reserve Grand Champion of the World Beef Expo and the Missouri Black & Gold Bonanza. Both of these steers were by Heat Wave and their full sister, DSUL Bella, has been a multiple winner for the Vince Elder family, as well, with recent wins such as Supreme Champion Female of the 2008 Winter Buckle Classic and Reserve Grand Champion Chi Female of the 2009 San Antonio Livestock Show. This mating is really clicking as two more full brothers will be among the top-sellers of the 2009 Sullivan & Bar A Club Calf Sale. Do not expect to find too many of these embryos for sale.

Donor 6651
Lot 39A – Three embryos by Heat Seeker
Lot 39B – Three embryos by Who Made Who

Any cow whose lifetime average on 20 steer calves is $14,350 with seven heifer calves at $16,750 is sure to get our attention. Back by popular demand, the Frozen Gold is the only place you can own these frozen treasures from the incredible Donor 6651 at Sullivan Ranch – and her only daughter by Who Made Who whose first public embryo offering sells here as Lot 40. Over the years, 6651 has become Heat Seeker’s best friend and time has proven her to be one of those truly rare individuals whose influence remains strong through generations, producing quality every time she is involved. Formerly of Sullivan Farms, IA, 6651 rose to prominence in an elite set of donors by producing topsellers and winners with every crop. The source of 4 State Fair Champions in 4 years and 8 daughters that are currently in transplant, the first crop from 6651 included a daughter by Who Made Who that was selected as the Champion Commercial Heifer of the 2002 Indiana State Fair (our Lot 40 donor) while a pair of Heat Seeker brothers topped the Sullivan Pasture Sale and went on to win a string of jackpots in the Midwest with one ending his career as the Reserve Grand Champion Steer of the Kansas State Fair for the Ruff family. Another Heat Seeker son was the $20,000+ top-seller of the next Sullivan Sale and later became the Grand Champion Steer of the Tulsa State Fair for Bobby Kokojan just after his full brother was selected as the Grand Champion Steer of the Tennessee State Fair. 6651 then produced the extremely popular sire, DSUL Upgrade 6651 by Heat Seeker and his red, full sister that sold for $5,800. Perhaps the best thing about the amazing 6651 is the production strength of her daughters. Most of them have been retained but the seven that have sold have been extremely popular with one selling for $22,000 – see the impressive average above - and they have gone on to make outstanding cows themselves – see Lot 40. Heat Seeker x 6651 donors have been responsible for Jason Allen’s 20-time winner and Supreme Champion Female of the 2007 Iowa Beef Expo, a $22,000 son by Friction, and calves at $6,500, $15,000, and $35,000 by Who Da Man including Isaiah Bridwell’s 2008 Hoosier Beef Congress Reserve Supreme Champion that was also Supreme Champion of the 2008 Nebraska AGR Preview.6651 represents the rarest of the rare. Own these embryos and bring a whole new level of excitement to your program!
